For one day only on Saturday 24 September, The Friends of the London Fire Brigade Museum with the London Fire Brigade, will showcase a collection of vintage fire appliances and uniforms, representing the design evolution from the inception of the London Fire Brigade to the present day.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the London Design Festival, the London Fire Brigade will be opening the doors of Shoreditch Fire Station for an exhibition ‘The Running Towards’, an ode to all individuals and organisations in the emergency services, which celebrates London Fire Brigade’s new typeface and design history.
On display will be a range of designs and merchandise created by the most innovative and cutting-edge design houses and artists, including bold typographic poster designs, new interpretations of the flammable icon and quirky London Fire Brigade objects and ephemera.
