Croydon Fire Station Open Day – August 2019

Huge interest in the future of the London Fire Brigade Museum at the Croydon fire station open day.

On 31 August 2019, Nigel Saunders, Gary Lewington and Ivan Barefield, members of the Friends of the London Fire Brigade Museum, attended H31 Croydon’s Open Day.

Croydon’s crew and organisers were very welcoming and there was a lot of interest and enquiries about the current status of the LFB Museum.

Ivan supplied some old uniforms and helmets, from his own collection, so the kids (and some adults) could dress up and have their photos taken.

The day was a huge success and the Friends look forward to attending again in the future.
